2 Nigerian Students Arrested With N48m Worth Of Fake Drugs In Philippine

Two Nigerian students have been arrested with 500 grams of shabu and counterfeit drugs amounting to P2.5 million (about N48m), following an entrapment operation in Bacoor, Cavite, on Friday. According to ABS, the suspects Agu Austin Chukwuebuka and Nkwocha Chimaobi were arrested after they sold 11 sachets of suspected shabu stashed in electronic adaptors to an undercover agent.

Nurse dragged to court by doctor over false rape allegations Lailasnews

The Medical Director of St. John Specialist Hospital, Okota, Lagos, Dr Victor Unang has dragged his former auxiliary nurse, Juliet Nweke, 22, before a Lagos Magistrate Court for allegedly accusing him falsely of raping her and attempting to extort the sum of N3m from him.

Unang also accused the nurse of threatening to set his hospital ablaze if he failed to pay her the money within a reasonable time.

An Abeokuta High Court on Thursday sentenced three men to death by hanging for armed robbery, conspiracy and rape.

A fourth accused, Oguntolu Oludare, got 10 years imprisonment for receiving stolen goods.

The judge, Adetokunbo Majekodumi, sentenced Abdulrasak Moshood, Sakiru Osunmuyiwa and Azeez Olonade to death.

A 40-year old man, Dominic Johnson, has been arrested for impregnating his 14-year old daughter.
The incident happened at Onitire Avenue in Abaranje area of Ikotun, Lagos.

The daughter has now given birth to a girl and they were brought before the Ikeja Magistrates court when Johnson was arraigned on Wednesday.

Landlords in Ekiti protest against electricity 'crazy bills' lailasnews 2

Landlords across the Ekiti State capital, Ado Ekiti have protested against what they consider as exorbitant bills being allocated to them by the Benin Electricity Distribution Company (BEDC)

Acting under the aegis of Ado Ekiti Landlords and Ladies Electricity Consumers Association of Nigeria (ALLECA), the protesters took over Ado-Ikere Road, accusing the distribution company (DISCO) of ripping them off.

The Police in Lagos yesterday arraigned a 21-year-old factory worker, Timothy Nwaokema, at an Ikeja Magistrates’ Court for allegedly raping his co-worker at knife-point.

Troops of 3 Division Garrison Jos Plateau State arrested 7 suspects and recovered weapons in the clash between Miango community and herdsmen at Rafiki Village on Wednesday 14 March 2018. The troops responded to distress calls to the clash reported by locals.

As troops moved in to settle the dispute, the herdsmen opened fire on troops convoy. 2 soldiers paid the supreme price. 7 suspects were arrested in connection with the clashes. While conducting a search, troops discovered 23 dead bodies at Mararaba Dare shortly before Rafiki Village and many civilians were wounded.
