Nigeria’s representative in the skeleton event at the Pyeongchang 2018 Winter Olympics in South Korea, Simidele Adeagbo, on Friday finished last in the women’s individual skeleton runs 1 and 2 featuring 20 runners.

Simidele ran 54.19secs in run 1 and 54.58secs in run 2.

The South Africa-based athlete, 36, who made history as the first African to qualify for the skeleton event at the Winter Games, returns to feature in runs 3 and 4 today.

Driver Flees With Employer's SUV One Week After Employment (Photo)


The Police at the Ikoyi Division, Lagos, South West Nigeria have arrested a driver, Emmanuel Agene, 27, for allegedly stealing his employer’s Ford Edge SUV with registration number LSR 921 AW valued at N6.5m one week after he was employed.

He allegedly drove the SUV to Abuja, Nigeria to look for a buyer before he was arrested.

The incident occurred on 10 November, 2017 at 1, MacGregor Road, Ikoyi, Lagos when the suspect was sent on an errand to Jibowu area of Lagos by his employer, Modupe Adesunloye.

10 arrested for burning Nasarawa IDPs’ houses

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board is currently investigating fresh cases of fraud totalling N83m uncovered in its state offices in Kano, Edo, Kogi, Gombe and Plateau, Saturday PUNCH has learnt.

Imo Will Reject Okorocha’s Son-In-Law As Gov – PDP


The Imo State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party has said that any move by Governor Rochas Okorocha to install his son-in-law, Uche Nwosu, as his successor in 2019 will be rejected by the people of the state.
