200 Youths Set Ablaze Palace Of Imo Monarch

No fewer than 200 youths have set ablaze the palace of the traditional ruler of Obollo autonomous community, Edwin Mbaeyi, in Isiala Mbano Local Government of Imo state.

Punch reports that an eyewitness, who simply identified himself as Collins, said that the palace was burnt over the refusal of the monarch to coronate one Chijioke Njokuocha as the traditional prime minister of the community after the death of his father, Samuel Njokuocha.

Egypt’s defense minister, on a visit to Seoul, announced that his country has cut military ties with North Korea, according to a report by South Korea’s Yonhap news agency.

Ifeanyi Ejiofor, counsel to Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), says his client has been placed under house arrest by the Nigerian army.

Thabani Hadebe, a South African man has been killed during a funeral service in Molweni after someone fired bullets in an illegal gun salute, Kwazulu-Natal police said on Tuesday.
