A housewife, Adenike Oladejo, has approached an Idi-Ogungun Customary Court, Agodi Ibadan, seeking dissolution of her nine years marriage to her husband, Samuel Oladejo, over his refusal to attend Church with her.

Adenike, who testified in court on Friday, said she cried every day because of the kind of life her husband was living.

A young Nigerian woman who recently got married has died a month after getting married to her heartthrob. The woman identified as Cynthia Steve Bola (nee Njoku) passed away one month after her wedding leaving her family and friends heartbroken. 
 
The sad news was made public by a close friend. According to the friend, the deceased (Cynthia) got married on April 17th and died in May from an undisclosed circumstance.

Detectives attached to the Abia State Police Command have arrested a 23-year-old man for allegedly robbing a filling station in the state, NewTelegraph reported.

A 43-year-old Nigerian nursing assistant, Hakim Ogunkunle is facing multiple charges in connection with the death of a 98-year-old patient that triggered a probe by the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, US.

The GBI claims that Ogunkunle, a Certified Nursing Assistant Ogunkunle was responsible for causing injuries that led to the death of Edna Warren, a patient at Newnan Health and Rehab in May, 2017. It has charged him with aggravated battery, exploitation and intimidation of an elderly person.

Ghana court rules transfer of ex-Guantanamo detainees unconstitutional


Ghana’s Supreme Court ruled on Thursday that the transfer of two former Guantanamo Bay detainees to the country was unconstitutional without parliamentary approval.
Ghana had signed an agreement with the US government in January 2016 allowing the two ex-Guantanamo prisoners to live in the country.

Banks reject Etisalat’s $58.9m payment plan


Twelve commercial banks have rejected a $58.9 million offer by Etisalat Nigeria as full and final payment for the $588.6 million the telecom giant owes, The Nationlearnt yesterday.
The loan comprises N114 billion ($361.6 million) in local currency and $227 million in foreign currency, putting the total obligation to the banks at $588.6 million. The source said Etisalat Nigeria also has some unsettled obligations to its other business partners.
