The senator representing Ogun Central Senatorial District, Olanrewaju Tejuoso, has lamented that Nigerian senators are paid peanuts, hence their inability to achieve much.
Mr Tejuoso, who is the chairman, Senate Committee on Health claimed what some of them spent daily was more than what they earned.

A pastor of a Pentecostal church in Rivers State, Legitom Doctor, has been arrested by operatives of Runuolumeni Police Divisional Headquarters in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area for defiling and impregnating an 11-year-old girl.

Doctor, a 44-year-old man, who is the head of Greater Grace and Mercy Church in Rumuolumeni, had, on December 2016, allegedly forced his victim to bed and impregnated her.

Huge Portugal forest fire kills 25, injures 16


A huge forest fire in central Portugal killed at least 25 people and injured 16 others, most of them burning to death in their cars, the government said Sunday.
Several hundred firefighters and 160 vehicles were dispatched late Saturday to tackle the blaze, which broke out in the afternoon in the municipality of Pedrogao Grande before spreading fast across several fronts.

Man gets $870,000 for losing healthy testicle to surgery


Mr. Steven Haines has been awarded $870,000 million by Pennsylvania jury after he had the wrong testicle removed by his urologist.
He had been suffering chronic pain in his right testicle for around 15 years, before he opted to see a doctor.
The urologist, Dr. Spencer Long, in 2013, suggested surgery to remove the offending testicle.
