The News Agency of Nigeria reports that 10 gunmen stormed the senator’s house at Aiyetoro-Gbede in the early hours of the said date, and opened fire from various directions.

NAN reports that the entire house was riddled with bullets, while two vehicles parked in the estate were damaged by the hoodlums.

The Central Bank of Nigeria has directed Deposit Money Banks to suspend charges on over-the-counter or ATM withdrawals of above N500,000 or deposit of same amount.

The apex bank’s Director, Banking and Payments System Department, Mr. Dipo Fatokun, in a circular dated April 20, 2017, said all the charges introduced in February, and meant to take effect from April 1, 2017, have been dropped, Punch reports.

EFCC May Declare Top Nigerian Politician Wanted as N6billion Is Uncovered In Bank Accounts


The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission says it may declare a former Commissioner of Local Government in Niger wanted after a further N2bn was traced to his UBA account by the agency, The Punch reports.

It will be recalled that EFCC sources on Friday in Abuja said that the‎ ‎discovery brought to N6bn funds traced to accounts held by the politician and companies linked to him.

The Commission had some weeks ago traced N4bn to two accounts in GTBank, both linked to him. ‎
