A 30-year-old house wife, Bilkisu Lawal, on Wednesday told a Mararaba Grade 1 Area Court, that her husband, Shuaibu Yusuf, had denied her sex for two years.

Bilkisu, who is seeking for divorce, narrated how Yusuf had not been performing his duty as a husband.

She told the court that she married her husband in January 2012, according to Islamic rites and the marriage blessed with a son.

Punch reports that Dangote Flour Mills has sold the noodles business and assets to their competitor- Dufil Prima Foods, makers of Indomie noodles.

The company who made it known on Tuesday, said in order to smoothen the transition, it had offered Dufil the use of some of its facilities on an interim basis.

The noodles business was part of the DFM, which the Dangote Group recently reacquired from Tiger Brands.

In a 10- count charge filed before the Code of Conduct Tribunal, government through the Office of the Attorney General of the Federation (AGF) further alleged that Justice Ngwuta, also engaged in the purchase and sale of rice, palm oil and other related products, while being a Justice of the Supreme Court, within the same period.

President Buhari suspends SGF, Babachir Lawal, DG, NIA



President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered an investigation into the allegations of violations of law and due process made against the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Mr David Babachir Lawal, in the award of contracts under the Presidential Initiative on the North East (PINE).

The President has also directed the suspension of the SGF from office pending the outcome of the investigations.

Court orders airline, four airport officials to open defence in alleged $1.63m theft


A Federal High Court, Ikoyi, Lagos, has issued a directive that Emirates Airline, alongside four airport officials should open their defence on June 21 in the $1.63 million theft charge instituted against them by the Federal Government of Nigeria (FGN).
Trial judge, Mohammed Idris, arrived at the decision after throwing out the no-case submission filed by Emirates Airline and the said airport officials. Aside Emirates, the affected airport officials are; Abayomi Abiola, Isiaka Adedeji, Awonubi Abayomi and George Ikpekhia.

A man who identified himself as Moses Edwin, a prophet in one of the orthodox churches in Lagos was on Friday arrested by men of Rapid Response Squad of the Lagos State Police Command for stealing $500 belonging to a customer while trying to convert $5,000 into Naira.

Edwin, 50, a bureau de change operator and his gang member, Daniel Ebhohimen, were arrested beside Airport Hotel, Ikeja three days after stealing $500 from $5,000 bills presented to them by one Bayo Lookman for conversion into naira.

A Nigerian journalist and former United Nations employee was busted for robbing four Manhattan banks — all during his lunch hour, authorities said.

According to New York Post, Abdullahi Shuaibu, 53, was picked up by cops on Monday and hit with two counts of robbery and two counts of attempted robbery for the crimes committed during his two-month spree.

Hoodlums Murder Policeman, Steals His Rifle

Two Russian bombers intercepted in US


US Northern Command (NORTHCOM) confirmed Tuesday that two Russian TU-95 bombers were intercepted off the coast of Alaska on Monday evening.
According to a US official, the bombers were found 100 nautical miles south of Kodiak Island.
The Russian aircraft were in international airspace throughout the encounter as American airspace extends 12 nautical miles from the US shoreline.
