Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang’s latest masked goal-celebration is reportedly set to cost him a fine of at least 50,000 euros ($53,317) after again falling offside with his club Borussia Dortmund.
The 27-year-old Gabon hot-shot hit his 24th Bundesliga goal this season in Saturday’s 1-1 away draw against Schalke and celebrated by pulling on an black-and-orange wrestling mask.

A Nigerian amateur footballer, Henry Ayabowei, popularly known as Henry Esin, has died after an attack at a Welsh nightclub.

According to North Wales Nostalgia, the 27-year-old father of two children was found unconscious outside Peep nightclub in Bangor by police on Saturday. He was rushed to Stoke hospital for treatment at their special trauma unit.

Nigerian Lady, 4-Day Old Baby Rescued In Mediterranean


A four day-old baby belonging to a Nigerian lady, Mariam Ohene, was among over 480 migrants rescued by humanitarian ships on Saturday in the central Mediterranean Sea.

The Senate will not rescind its decision to reject the appointment of the Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Mr. Ibrahim Magu, to substantive capacity, New Telegraph investigations have revealed.
This is, however, notwithstanding its official statement to welcome President Muhammadu Buhari’s peace initiative on the deteriorating Executive/ Legislative face-off. Most of the senators, who spoke to our correspondent on the condition of anonymity, for obvious implications, said that the move by the President to broker peace and end the current executive-legislative acrimony was welcome. Ironically, they reasoned that though such move was a responsible initiative, the upper chamber would, by no means, be persuaded by anybody to reverse its position on Magu.

13-Year-Old Student Commits Suicide in Sokoto


A 13-year old student of Junior Secondary School (names withheld), has been found hanging in front of their house in the Damboa area of Sokoto metropolis.
The Police Public Relations Officer in the State, Mr El-Mustapha Sani, who confirmed the incident, told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Saturday that the remains of the teenager had since been buried according to Islamic rites.

Benjamin Egbujor, 55, of Harold Avenue, Belvedere, Kent, was sentenced at Inner London Crown Court to three years and four months' imprisonment on Friday, March 31, after he was found guilty of sexual assault and causing or inciting a child to engage in sexual activity.

Woman abandons child after being told by her pastor that she's a snake


A woman identified as Amara Emeka dumped her baby in Sapele, Delta state, on Sunday after being told by a pastor that her baby was a snake and he needed N52,000 to conduct a deliverance on her.

According to Sapele Oghenek who shared the photos, the baby was found crying by the road side and was taken to a police station by residents before the mother later came to identify her.

The mother reportedly said that the pastor instilled fear of the child in her with the spiritual talk and she didn't have such huge amount to give him for prayers, that's why she dumped the baby.

Two Nigerian women arrested and charged with human trafficking in Ghana


Two Nigerian women who were arrested in Ghana appeared before an Accra Circuit Court for allegedly trafficking six women from Nigeria to Ghana for commercial sex work.
The women, Ify Mba, and Ammanda Eze Chioma on Thursday pleaded not guilty to the charge and were both granted bail in the sum of GHc70,000.00 with three sureties each, one of which is to be justified by the court presided over by Mrs Abena Oppong Adjin-Doku.
