‘Prophet of Doom’ barred from using insect killer on churchgoers


A South African judge on Monday issued a banning order to prevent controversial pastor, Lethebo Rabalago from using Doom insect repellent for "religious healing".


Judge George Phatudi of the Limpopo High Court ruled that pastor Rabalago must stop spraying Doom on members of his congregation.

An unidentified woman also jumped into the lagoon from Maza-Maza Bridge in the Mile 2 area of Lagos.The woman was however, lucky, as rescuers fished her out before she could drown.According to a witness, the woman, dressed in a blouse and trousers, was trekking and got to the middle of the bridge, climbed the rail and jumped.
“The thing happened so fast that we could not stop her. However, when she jumped, we called for help, prompting people under the bridge to dive in and rescue her,” said one of the witnesses, who gave his name as Emeka.

How PDP Chieftain Committed Suicide, Set Abuja Hotel Ablaze


A chieftain of the opposition Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Dr Isaac Ojukwu, has set himself ablaze in a rented hotel apartment in Nyanya, a satellite town of Abuja, Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The incident which occurred early hours of Thursday, also saw the entire hotel burnt to ground level, even as the deceased was equally burnt beyond recognition.
