Real Madrid privately launch world-record transfer offer for David De Gea

Manchester United have turned down a sensational world-record bid from Real Madrid to sign David De Gea this summer, according to reports.
De Gea, 26, has been heavily linked with a move to the Bernabeu for several months, and was on the brink of a big-money switch last year, but the Red Devils are determined to keep hold of the shot-stopper.

The Sun suggest Madrid were confident their latest £60million offer for the Spaniard would be accepted by United but they were swiftly rejected by the Premier League giants.
However, it’s understood Zinedine Zidane’s side will continue to pursue the goalkeeper and are already lining up an improved bid for as early as next week.

Jose Mourinho is desperate to keep hold of De Gea and will not let the Spain international secure a move away from Old Trafford easily.
The United boss, though, is drawing up a list of possible replacements for the ‘keeper, with Jan Oblak and Gianluigi Donnarumma being considered.

Manchester City misfit Joe Hart has also been linked with Mourinho’s side.
