A man allegedly raped his girlfriend’s four-year-old boy to death and then abandoned him in his mum’s car. 

Keith Jordan Lambing, 20, was caught by police in Pittsburgh, US, a day after his girlfriend’s son Bentley Miller, 4, was found unconscious in Lambing’s mother’s car.

Little Bentley was rushed to hospital but died as a result of multiple injuries including internal bleeding.

He had also suffered a number of other injuries including bruises to his neck and body.

Following a warrant for Lambing’s arrest, officers found him on Wednesday evening in an abandoned house.

He has been charged with homicide, rape and multiple assaults, while his mother Kristen Herold was charged with endangering a child’s life and assisting an offender.

District Attorney Richard Goldinger said he may seek the death penalty for Lambing and told the Post-Gazette: ‘It’s unimaginable someone could do something like this to any human being, let alone a 4-year-old.’

He also said he may consider charging Bentley’s mother Mackenzie Peters, who also has a four-month-old child with Lambing.

The baby has been taken into protective custody.
