Dimitri Payet says he is '100 per cent staying' at West Ham

West Ham winger Dimitri Payet has committed his future to the club, putting an end to transfer speculation

Dimitri Payet has handed West Ham a welcome boost and pledged his future to the club, putting an abrupt stop to any talk of a transfer.

The 29-year-old was in fine form for France at Euro 2016, scoring three goals en route to their appearance in the final against Portugal, and some fans had feared that an offer from a big club might tempt Payet away from east London.

Payet, however, has insisted that he is happy where he is and told The Sun: 'I'm 100 per cent staying.'

While the former Lille and Marseille star did admit reports linking him with the likes of Real Madrid and Chelsea in recent weeks were flattering, Payet revealed that his affection for the Irons is too strong to throw away.
He added: 'I've heard about all the interest and I'm flattered. But I love West Ham. We had a fantastic season and I can't wait to play in the Olympic Stadium.

'I'm 100 per cent staying at West Ham, I love the club. I can tell the Hammers fans that.'
West Ham enjoyed a successful Premier League campaign last season, eventually finishing seventh in the table, just three places and four points adrift of Manchester City in the final Champions League qualifying berth.
Payet, who signed for the Hammers from Marseille last summer in a £10.7million deal, was the club's Player of the Year.
