An 18-year-old girl, Kafayat Olawale, has been arrested by the police in Lagos for allegedly stabbing her boyfriend, Ojo Ijabike, to death during his attempt to rape her.
According to a police statement, the sad incident happened on Friday, March 26th, at Ijabilke's residence on Olutola Adebayo Street, off Idimu Road, in the Alimosho area of the state.
The report has it that the 32-year-old deceased who is from Owo, Ondo State, was dating the girl and was being frustrated by her insistence on a no sex relationship and on the day he met his death, he had attempted to forcefully have carnal knowledge of the suspect when a scuffle broke out between them and in the process, Olawale, an apprentice hairdresser who hails from Osun State, reportedly stabbed Ijabike in the heart region after he inflicted injuries on her.
It was the landlord of the house who heard the noise that broke the locked door and met the duo lying in a pool of blood.
They were rushed to a private hospital in the area where Ijabike, an electrician, gave up the ghost.
