A married top footballer has been caught up in a blackmail plot after a one-night stand, it has been alleged.
The unnamed player, who is a defender in the Premier League, is reported by the Sun on Sunday to have spent a ‘no holds barred’ evening with the woman.
He is then alleged to have sent her explicit videos and pictures of himself.
It is reported that she has then approached his club with the images and footage then demanded cash, threatening to leak them.
A source told the paper: ‘It may have been a brief encounter but it left them both exhausted. This was pure animal passion. His wife would be horrified if she ever found out the full details.’
The footballer and the woman, who is in her 30s, met at a party near his home and she is alleged to have told the club after learning he was married.
The club is believed to have refused to pay the cash.
