Father Beats Teacher With Baseball Bat For Sending Inappropriate Texts To His Daughter

Police say the father of a 15-year-old Perry Hall high school student in Baltimore, United States,  hit her 42-year-old teacher with a baseball bat when he showed up at the family’s home Thursday, after numerous text messages between the two were discovered by her parents.

A suspected kidnapper has told how a gang member’s wife, assisted them in kidnapping her boss, a multi-million in Lagos State.
Incidentally the woman’s husband, Ugo, had been to prison twice for kidnapping, which she knew, but apparently did not see anything wrong in assisting him to kidnap her boss.
Dominic George, a suspected robber and kidnapper who gave the information to the police, explained that Ugo, a gang member, now at large, was assisted by his wife to monitor her boss’s movements.

Protests in Kano as Sanusi becomes Emir

Protests broke out in parts of Kano on Sunday shortly after a former Central Bank of Nigeria Governor Lamido Sanusi was   named the new Emir of Kano.
Sanusi, who by his appointment becomes the 14th Emir of Kano, takes over from Ado Ibrahim,who died on Friday.

Corpses litter Borno villages

The residents of Borno State have raised fears of possible epidemic in parts of the state with the high number of corpses littering some villages, which were attacked last week by the Boko Haram insurgents.
Leaders of the affected communities have already raised the alarm about possible epidemic because the people have not been able to bury the corpses because of the presence of the insurgents in the villages.
